Cookies and the Bake Off

Today has been another exhausting day of 9 til 5 lectures - one of my friends actually said they saw me sleeping for a few minutes... So when we got home we decided to eat tea and then bake some cookies, while watching the Great British Bake Off. We used a recipe from Annie Bell's Baking Bible, called Fab Choc Chip Cookies. Instead of chopping the chocolate up finely, we decided to just add normal-sized chunks to the dough, and they came out tasting absolutely amazing! We ate the cookies while they were still warm, and the huge pieces of chocolate were melted throughout. As the recipe instructed, we made them 'soft-bake', which meant that they were crispy round the outside and soft and gooey in the centre. They were also really easy to make and only took 10 minutes to bake, so they are a quick, cheap and easy snack/pudding that tastes amazing.

PS enjoy the artistic photos my housemate took of me with the Bake Off stars... Poor Norman!
