Friction Free Shaving

If you're anything like me, you will find shaving so tedious and boring, and a lot of hassle to go out and buy blades when you run out. So when I met the owner of Friction Free Shaving (FFS) at the #PLBSantasGrotto event I was very intrigued.

Friction Free Shaving is a new company that specialises in women's shaving products. They have a subscription box service, whereby you pay a certain amount per month to receive new blades for your razor.

Prices start from £3, which is actually really low and saves you loads of money (razor blades are expensive!). You will receive a razor in your first box along with 4 blades, and 4 blades per box from then on.

Friction Free Shaving encourage you to change your blade weekly, as when you think about how much bacteria accumulates on your blade it's a wonder anyone puts it on their skin - changing it more often means it is more hygienic and your legs are less irritated. However there is an option to receive new blades bi-monthly, if you don't want to change them as often - and you can pause or cancel your subscription at any time. You can also click "This month send me something else!" to receive an alternative gift to the razors if you find that you have too many, such as a lipstick or a nail varnish, which is a really good idea.

Friction Free Shaving sell 3 different razors - all metal but different colours with different-sized blades. My personal favourite is the gold 'Samantha' razor, which is £7 per month - but the 'Faye' razor will do just as good a job, for only £3 for month. You can also swap blades whenever you like too, so pay slightly more or less per month.

All of the razors are fairly heavy which makes them easy to control and the blades have lubrication so that they glide across the skin without irritating it. To be honest, this is probably the best razor that I have ever used - and makes shaving my legs so much quicker and easier. I would definitely recommend FFS, for easier and cheaper shaving!

You may as well try it for at least a month - for £3-£7 it's a really cheap and gorgeous razor anyway :)
Take a chance because you'll never know how absolutely perfect something could turn out to be.

  1. I've seen a couple of reviews for this now, and each time I'm getting more and more tempted by them! They sound like such a good deal, and a great idea as well.
