A quick note to myself
Just a quick note to remind you that it's okay not to feel 100% all of the time. It's okay to have a down day. Even if you take one step back, it doesn't mean that you're back to square one. You will never go back to square one because you have worked too hard to get away from there, and you now know how to manage your emotions and interpret how you are feeling.
It's also okay to take a day off and give yourself a little bit of TLC. Yes, all you've done today is lie in bed and watch Pretty Little Liars, but now you feel 90% recovered (and that other 10% will come from a good sleep and a chat with your mum). All of us sometimes need a day like that - it's completely normal (whatever 'normal' is).
You are recovering from a horrendous illness that made you feel absolutely awful 95% of the time during your bad periods, so it's natural that there will be little hiccups along the way. Hold your breath, count to 10, and stop getting so wrapped up in your thoughts. They don't control you any longer.
You're doing amazingly, girl. Keep on pushing forwards and you'll feel as good as you have done over the past few months!
